Veterans Memorial Park

- Historic Interest: Location of the last naval battle of the revolutionary war.

Located on the water’s edge at Sykes Creek and operated in partnership with the Veterans Memorial Center, Inc., this 67.07-acre community river park invites a variety of passive and active recreation.

Visitors can enjoy a stroll along the 335' lighted boardwalk, or take a rest at one of the benches along the waterfront which is popular for scenic viewing and fishing. The bicycle pedway wraps around a small lake which will also lead you to picnic tables, a playground with surrounding exercise equipment, restrooms and mid-size pavilion.

Outside the entry to the 6,000 sq. ft. Veterans Memorial Museum is the Veterans Memorial Plaza, which is a tribute to all veterans from all wars dating back to before American Independence all the way to to those who have served in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Inside the Veterans Memorial Center Museum are displays and artifacts of the military history of the United States, with special emphasis on Brevard County veterans.  The goal is to educate the community and inspire present and future generations with the military’s service and sacrifice. Also available is a spacious meeting room available for rent.
