Committees

The Tourist Development Council (TDC) is a nine member advisory board appointed by the Board of County Commissioners. Committed to providing feedback and insight on tourism related items, the TDC has established five standing committees to address specific aspects of tourism development. These committees are the Marketing Committee, Beach Improvement Committee, Capital Facilities Committee, Sports Committee, and Cultural Committee. Each committee focuses on a distinct area of expertise, working diligently to ensure the success and sustainability of the local tourism sector. The committees advise the TDC on ways to elevate the region's profile, enhance its natural resources, improve infrastructure, and promote the organization of sporting events and cultural activities. By collaborating and leveraging their unique strengths, these committees contribute to the overall prosperity and allure of the Space Coast, attracting tourists and enriching the visitor experience.

Marketing Committee

The Marketing Committee consists of ten (10) members who act as an advisory committee to the Tourism Development Council on matters related to destination marketing for Brevard County.

Beach Improvement Committee

The Beach Committee consists of nine (9) members who act as an advisory committee to the Tourism Development Council on matters related to Beach Renourishment and Lagoon programs.

Capital Facilities Committee

The Capital Facilities Committee consists of nine (9) members who act as an advisory committee to the Tourism Development Council on matters related to capital facility projects throughout the county.

Cultural Committee

The Cultural Committee consists of nine (9) members who act as an advisory committee to the Tourism Development Council on matters related to cultural projects throughout the county.

Sports Committee

The Sports Committee consists of nine (9) members who act as an advisory committee to the Tourism Development Council on matters related to sporting events and competitions throughout the county.
