Wickham Park
Nestled in the heart of Melbourne, Wickham Park is a 391-acre recreational oasis for locals and visitors alike. A scenic drive winds through the park’s open areas, pine scrub habitat and lakes offering a view of the various areas of the property. Whether you're looking to stop for bite to eat at one of the numerous picnic tables throughout, have a gathering with friends and family in one of our ten rentable pavilions, or simply take a leisurely stroll on our 1.3-mile paved pedway, our park is the perfect destination. Wickham Park offers miles of biking, hiking, and equestrian trails in multiple undeveloped areas, giving great opportunity for wildlife watching as a part of the Great Florida Birding Trail. Community events, special activities and equestrian activities are regularly hosted at this expansive park. The main office, or Ranger Station is easily accessible located just inside the main entrance off Parkway Drive to assist with questions, facility rentals and check-in for campers.
Wickham Park is not only a perfect location for families to enjoy the park, but also a centrally located Melbourne venue to venture out to nearby Atlantic Ocean beaches, local restaurants, theaters, historic villages, nature preserves, golf courses, other County parks, and attractions for all ages in Melbourne and the surrounding area. Located on park property is the Wickham Park Senior Center, Wickham Park Community Center, and South Area Disabilities Program facility.
