Wickham Park
Nestled in the heart of Melbourne, Wickham Park is a 391-acre recreational oasis for locals and visitors alike. A scenic drive winds through the park’s open areas, pine scrub habitat and lakes offering a view of the various areas of the property. Whether you're looking to stop for bite to eat at one of the numerous picnic tables throughout, have a gathering with friends and family in one of our 10 rentable pavilions, or simply take a leisurely stroll on our 1.3-mile paved pedway, our park is the perfect destination.
Wickham Park offers miles of biking, hiking, and equestrian trails in multiple undeveloped areas, giving great opportunity for wildlife watching as a part of the Great Florida Birding Trail. Community events, special activities and equestrian activities are regularly hosted at this expansive park.
Wickham Park is not only a perfect centralized location, but is also home to competition horseshoe pits, sand volleyball courts, an archery range, a small amphitheater, a disc-golf course, swimming and fishing lakes, and 2 lighted multi-purpose fields. The Wickham Park Regional pavilion is a popular spot for large special events, and the off the leash dog park is popular among visitors.
The main office, or Ranger Station is easily accessible located just inside the main entrance off Parkway Drive to assist with questions, facility rentals and check-in for campers. Located on park property is the Wickham Park Senior Center, Wickham Park Community Center, and an Adaptive Recreation Center.
