Sand Point Park

This popular 29.88-acre community river park on the Indian River is a perfect place for family gatherings, special events, and exercising with an unbeatable view. 

Athletic and fitness facilities include large lighted multi-use field, a paved bicycle pedway, and a 0.66-mile exercise trail that meanders through open and shaded areas. A variety of picnic tables / shelters, benches and small pavilions are present throughout the park and surround the playground (with accessible play structures). The Valicenti Pavilion is over 2,000 sq. ft. with a capacity of 750 people. Also present are restrooms, a 1-lane motorized boat ramp, and plenty of space for shoreline fishing.

The Astronaut Memorial Plaza is located near the south side of the park. Dedicated on Flag Day, June 14, 1986 by City of Titusville, it commemorates the astronaut crews of the Apollo, the Challenger, and more recently, the Columbia Space Shuttle.

Park Open For Launches

This park and restrooms will stay open to the public when a launch is scheduled after normal hours.
