Does a Handyman Need a License in Brevard County?
Brevard County Code Of Ordinance and State Law requires construction work, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, roofing, etc. including remodeling, renovations & repairs be done by a licensed contractor.
Handyman may ONLY perform unregulated specialty trades.
PLEASE NOTE: there is no such thing as a Handyman License in Brevard County

Unregulated Construction Industry Trades & Services Information:
- Cabinetry / Countertops
- Concrete
- Decorative Hardscape (Landscape Curbing, Countertops)
- Drywall Repair (Patch holes)
- Fascia / Soffit / Siding
- Finish Trim Carpentry (paneling, sashes, baseboards)
- Floor Covering/ Floor Covering with Tile
- Framing / Carpentry
- Landscaping / Yard Care - No irrigation or sprinkler, as it requires Certificate of Competency
- Insulation
- Interior doors - Bathroom, Bedroom, Closet; No exterior doors, as it requires a Certificate of Competency
- Masonry
- Non-aluminum and vinyl fence erectors. This shall include, but not be limited to, fence erectors of wood fencing
- Painting
- Pavers
- Pressure Washing / Cleaning
- Screening Repair (No hardware maintenance, repair, or replacement)
- Wallcovering / Wallpaper
