Summertime heat should not include fire. Use the information on this page to avoid summertime fire dangers.

Summer Fire Tips

Do not use or store a grill on a porch or balcony.
Only use propane, charcoal and wood pellet grills outside.
Keep grills at least 10 feet from your home.
Never leave the grill unattended.
Always clean your grill after each use to remove grease that can start a fire.
When making a campfire, make sure the fire is 25 feet from tents, bushes and greenery, or anything that can catch fire
When using a fire pit, make sure the fire pit is at least 10 feet away from homes or anything flammable.
Before leaving, make sure the fire is completely out.
