Summertime heat should not include fire. Use the information on this page to avoid summertime fire dangers.
Summer Fire Tips
- Do not use or store a grill on a porch or balcony.
- Only use propane, charcoal and wood pellet grills outside.
- Keep grills at least 10 feet from your home.
- Never leave the grill unattended.
- Always clean your grill after each use to remove grease that can start a fire.
- When making a campfire, make sure the fire is 25 feet from tents, bushes and greenery, or anything that can catch fire
- When using a fire pit, make sure the fire pit is at least 10 feet away from homes or anything flammable.
- Before leaving, make sure the fire is completely out.
