Titusville Osprey Sewer Line Smoke Testing Complete

The City of Titusville completed their Save Our Indian River Lagoon funded project to smoke test 22.5 miles of sanitary sewer main lines and 2300 property connections. They found 10 properties with leaking lateral sewer lines, 5 with broken cleanout risers, and 49 with missing cleanout caps. The properties with leaking lateral lines and broken risers were issued code enforcement notices to fix the broken pipes. SOIRL is offering to assist homeowners with those repairs using grant funds. The missing cleanout caps were replaced on the spot. This makes the 99th completed project in the SOIRL plan.
