Rockledge Completes 100th Save Our Indian River Lagoon Project

The City of Rockledge completed the 100th Save Our Indian River Lagoon project with the addition of a 1.4 million gallon flow equalization basin in their wastewater treatment. This improvement was installed upstream of the secondary treatment process, allowing them to optimize the performance of their treatment process by providing a steady feed of wastewater to prevent overwhelming the system during increased flow periods. This allows the plant to reduce nitrogen levels in the reuse water by 50-85%.
