Wickham Park Rules and Regulations

Individuals must be 18 years of age or older to rent a campsite. The person renting the campsite is responsible to ensure all members of the camping party check-in with park staff, register their vehicle, and provide a valid photo ID prior to going to campsite. A parent or guardian must register and be on site with any campers under 18 years of age. The parent/guardian is responsible for the conduct of everyone camping and visiting their campsite. All campers under 18 years of age must be on their campsite during quiet hours (10:00 PM to 7:00 AM) unless accompanied by the parent/guardian camping on their site. All visitors must depart the campground by 10:00 PM unless they are registered as a guest.

Reservations can be made in person, online, email, or by telephone. Brevard County residents can make reservations up to 395 days (13 months) in advance of the stay. Non-residents can make reservations up to 180 days (6 months) in advance of the stay.

Length of Stay: Length of stay is based on availability and is not guaranteed. The maximum length of stay for RVs and camping units is 90 days per reservation and for tent campers, 14 days per reservation. After any stay, the registered camper(s) must remove their personal property and vacate the campground for a period of 48 hours before they can return to the same campground under a new reservation. After the maximum stay, you are permitted to stay at any other Brevard County campground. The minimum length of stay is one night.

Multiple Reservations: There is no limit to the number of active reservations a household can have provided it does not violate the length of stay rule.

Reserving Multiple Sites: Customers can book multiple sites to accommodate group camping and aid in securing adjacent sites for members of their group. Customers who book multiple sites must provide the names and site numbers from among the sites they reserved for each member of his/her party. Upon arrival, the intended site occupant must complete the check-in procedure. The person who booked multiple sites cannot complete the check-in procedure for sites they will not be occupying.

Reservation Changes: Reservations can be moved (day for day) one (1) time per reservation at no charge. After that, customers will be required to either keep the reservation currently on the books, or cancel the reservation with fees assessed. If a customer chooses to cancel, they may rebook a reservation after which they will again have one (1) opportunity to change the new reservation at no charge.

Brevard County Residency Fees: Brevard County residency will be established by using the customer’s Florida driver’s license or State of Florida ID card either when the reservation is made in person, or when the patron checks in if the reservation was made by phone or online. If a customer makes an online reservation as a Brevard County resident, residency will be validated at check-in. If a customer makes a reservation and/or pays for a reservation for another person (for example, someone making a group reservation), the resident discount is only applied if the occupant of the site shows proof of Brevard County residency despite the residency status of the person making or paying for the reservation.

Seasonal Rates: The seasonal rate applies from November 1 through April 30. Seasonal rates apply only to Non-Brevard County residents.

Premium Site Fees: Applies to any of the 93 sites at Long Point Park with water access any of the 4 sites at Manatee Hammock with a water view, or any site at all 3 campgrounds that include sewer access. This fee applies to residents and non-residents equally. Note there are no water access or water view sites at Wickham Park.

Late Check-out: Customers who check out after 11:00 AM will be assessed a fee for an additional night at the current daily rate for the site they occupied.

Payment: Reservations of 45 days or more will pay 50% of the total cost of the reservation at the time the reservation is made. The remaining balance will be due before 11:00 AM of the last paid day. Any reservation less than 45 days will be paid in full at the time of the reservation. Any reservation that results in a no call/no-show by the customer for any portion of, and up to the entire reservation period, will not receive a refund.

Cancellations: Cancellations made at least 7 days prior to the reservation date are subject to a $20.00 processing fee. If a cancellation request is received less than 7 days prior to the scheduled reservation date or if an early departure notification is not received 7 days prior to departure, the following refund fees apply:

  • $25.00 fee on a reservation up to 10 days + $20.00 processing fee
  • $50.00 fee on a reservation of 11 to 21 days + $20.00 processing fee
  • $75.00 fee on a reservation of 22 to 29 days + $20.00 processing fee
  • $100.00 fee on a reservation of 30 or more days + $20.00 processing fee

Maximum occupancy of each campsite is six persons, and:

  • RV-designated sites are limited to one (1) RV and one (1) tent provided they remain within the borders of the assigned site and do not impede on neighboring sites.
  • Overnight stays must be in a camping unit, not in a passenger vehicle that's not designed for camping.
  • Tent-designated sites are limited to two (2) tents.
  • Non-sleeping screen rooms and pop-up canopies are allowed provided they remain within the borders of the assigned site and do not impede on neighboring sites. Site occupants cannot connect to neighboring site utilities.

Park hours are dawn to dusk. Check-in is from 2:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Check-out is 11:00 AM. Quiet hours are 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Non-camping unit motor vehicles limited to two (2) per site. All other personal property must remain within the borders of the assigned site and not impede on neighboring sites.

A maximum of three (3) pets per site. Pets MUST be kept on a leash or inside the camping unit at all times. Pets are not permitted in restrooms. Pets are not to be unattended outside of camping unit. You must pick up after your pets.

Campsites are not to be sub-leased at any time.

Staff will not accept United States Post Office deliveries for campers. Campers are encouraged to rent a P.O. box at a post office or commercial mail room. FedEx, UPS, or other delivery services may deliver to the individual camping site. Staff will provide the delivery driver a camp site number at the driver’s request. It is the discretion of the delivery driver to deliver to the campsite. Staff will not sign nor accept responsibility for any packages regardless of delivery service used.

All vehicles (RVs, cars, and travel trailers) must have valid registration and license plate displayed at all times. All camping units and vehicles must be parked in designated areas only. Auto and RV repairs are prohibited in the campground unless approved by the campground staff.

Golf carts and scooters can be operated by licensed drivers only. If operated after dark, vehicles must be equipped with working lights on both its front and rear; bicycles must be equipped with working flashlights or other illuminating lights. Off-road vehicles, go-karts, and ATVs are prohibited in the camping area. Unmanned aerial aircrafts (such as drones) are prohibited in the immediate camping area. FAA rules for unmanned aerial aircraft apply.

Vehicles must stay on roads unless going directly to recreation activities. Posted speed limits must be obeyed at all times.

For reasons of safety and aesthetics, lines, wires, and ropes are not to be put up in campground. Attach nothing to trees or posts. Dryers are available in laundry area. Campsite(s) must be kept clean, orderly, and free of trash / debris at all times. Tarps are not to be used to make a larger tent or storage area and are not to be used as a roof for camping units.

Refrigerators, electrical appliances, and household furniture are not permitted outside camping units. These items must be kept fully inside camping units at all times.

Radios, televisions, musical instruments, and similar items shall be played so as not to disturb other guests in the park. Yelling, screaming, causing a disturbance, and the use of profanity, if audible outside, is not permitted in the park.

Fireworks, hunting, discharge of firearms, BB guns, air guns, sling shots, and other dangerous instruments are not permitted in the park.

Camp Fires:

  • Wickham Park: No natural wood or ground fires allowed in the park. All fires must be contained in an authorized burning container and must be elevated off the ground. Permitted burning materials include chemical logs, charcoal, and propane only.
  • Manatee Hammock and Long Point Park: All camping fires must be contained in an authorized burning container. Fires are not to be left unattended at any time. Pallets, nails, glass, plastic, and trash are not permitted in fires. Please dispose of these items appropriately. Ashes must be completely extinguished before disposal.

Dumping of gray and black water are only permitted in designated sewage disposal areas. Washing of RVs, boats, cars, or other vehicles is prohibited in the park and campground. Performing automotive work, maintenance, or repairs is prohibited in the park unless approved by park staff.

We reserve the right to remove anyone violating the rules, destroying or defacing property, or creating a disturbance.

In the event of a mandatory evacuation, patrons are responsible for the removal of all their personal property and vehicles from the park within 24 hours of notification.  All campers must have a tow vehicle, have prompt access to a tow vehicle, or must have the ability to move or relocate their camping unit upon request by park staff.

The park is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items. Please secure all valuable items at all times.

All visitors must depart the campground by 10:00 PM unless they registered as a guest.

The individual shall be responsible to be aware of and comply with all policies and procedures approved by the Department and/or the County including but not limited to: All laws, statutes, ordinances, fire codes, rules, orders, regulations and requirements of all local, state, and federal agencies as applicable.

Cancellation Policy

  • $75 fee on a reservation of 22 to 29 days + $20.00 processing fee
  • $100 fee on a reservation of 30 or more days + $20.00 processing fee
