ROCKLEDGE, FL. – Brevard County Ocean Rescue seeking lifeguards for multiple open positions.
Tryouts are for seasonal positions offered from January through October.
Try outs will take place at 9:00 am at the Rockledge High School pool, located at 616 Seminole Drive in Rockledge on November 2.
While no lifeguarding experience is necessary, interested candidates must be over the age of 16 and possess strong swimming skills. Candidates will be required to swim 500 yards in less than 10 minutes, complete a 2-mile run, and perform a physical agility test that requires 30 push-ups. Advanced registration is not required, however applicants are reminded that testing will begin promptly and anyone arriving after testing begins will not be permitted to try out.
If selected, completion of the hiring process is dependent on the candidate’s ability to pass a background check and successful completion of a paid training course. Hourly $15.75.
