Osprey Water Reclamation Facility

Content: The Osprey Water Reclamation Facility’s new upgrade units are online and operating. The project upgraded biological, chemical, and physical wastewater treatment processes to reduce the nitrogen concentrations of the treated reclaimed water from 17.9 mg/L to at 6 mg/L or better. This project prevents 12,286 pounds of nitrogen pollution from entering the lagoon annually. The cost of this project was $13,500,000 and was funded 67% by Save Our Indian River Lagoon funds.
