Library Events

South Mainland Public Library STEAM Fridays at 3:00 PM. Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics activities are offered in the Children's Room.
Come listen to stories being told at the Public Library in Micco every Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 PM.
Genealogy research with Elsie Dietzmann is held at the South Mainland Library every Wednesday at 11:00 AM. There is no fee for the session or handouts. You can get help to bring to life your Family's history by exploring the lives of those that came before you.
Master Gardeners are at South Mainland Public Library the first and third Tuesday of every month from October through April. These dedicated volunteers are available from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM to share their horticultural knowledge.
The December movie will be shown on December 7th at 1:00 PM. The title of the film is 5000 Blankets (PG-13) and stars Kim Myers and Artrial Clark. This title is inspired by a true story and tells of a woman's husband who suffers a mental breakdown and goes missing. She and her son set out to find him and spark a movement of compassion to those in need and, inspire a city.

South Mainland's Adult Crafting class is held the second and fourth Thursdays of each month at 3:00 PM. You can call the Library or stop in to see what the next scheduled craft will be.

The Third Thursday at Three book club meets every month to discuss titles chosen by the group and its moderator.

Meeting and Study Rooms

The meeting room is available for public use and can be reserved by calling the Library's Secretary, (772) 664-4066.

Meeting Room: Maximum capacity of 55 people.

Features: Kitchenette, tables and chairs, and WiFi Access.

Three study rooms are available for public use as well. One is equipped with a LCD - desktop electronic magnifier for low vision
