Swim Lessons
Brevard County Parks and Recreation offers American Red Cross swim lesson at both McLarty Park Aquatic Center and Merritt Island High School Aquatic Center.
Water Babies 30-minute class for 6 months- 3 years old. Must have adult in pool with child.
Preschool 30-minute class for 3 years- 5 years old
Youth 45-minute class for 6 years- 16 years old
Private lesson 30-minute class for 3 years old and up
Adult lesson is schedule as a private lesson and are done on instructor availability.
School year sessions run Tuesday and Thursday for 4 weeks between August and mid-May. Summer session run Monday through Thursday for 2 weeks between late May and July.
Pool Rules
- Children under 12 years of age must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult.
- All patrons must pay the daily fee in accordance with Brevard County Parks and Recreation.
- Swimmers under 18 years of age shall be required to take a standard swim test prior to participating in aquatic activities at the aquatic centers.
- Non- swimmers are required to wear a floatation device. They may not use any floatation device that is not US Coast Guard approved.
