BREVARD COUNTY, FL. -- Brevard County, in coordination with the City of Titusville, the Florida Division of Emergency Management, the Florida Department of Transportation, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and the St. Johns River Water Management District, has implemented pumping operations to help reduce standing floodwaters in the area of Parkland Street in Titusville.
This collaborative effort is in response to flooding that occurred Sunday, Oct. 26. Pumps have been deployed to move excess water from the affected area to improve drainage and relieve flooding impacts for residents.
Monitoring tools will help evaluate progress and Brevard County Public Works, along with the City of Titusville Public Works team and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, will continue to assess and adjust operations as needed.
