Precautionary Boil Water Notice Issued in Mims Area

TITUSVILLE, FL. -- A precautionary boil water notice has been issued for residents of the Mims water service area living on Dunsford Rd., Palace Pl., Ayrshire Dr., Sherwood Dr. and the following addresses:

• Sir Page Lane: 4490, 4528, 4529, 4536, 4544, 4552, 4553, 4561, 4576, 4584, 4592, 4598, 4605
• Castle Drive: 1717, 1726, 1733, 1734, 1741, 1742, and 1755

A water main break has occurred at near 4615 Dunsford Rd. in the Mims water service area. The repair has been completed and water service should be restored to all residents.

As a precaution, we advise that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes be boiled.  A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient.  As an alternative, bottled water may be used. 

This "precautionary boil water notice" will remain in effect until the problem has been corrected and a bacteriological survey shows that the water is safe to drink. You will receive another notification at that time.
