New Equestrian Trail at Kings Park in Merritt Island

MERRITT ISLAND, FL. — A new equestrian trail at Kings Park, Merritt Island, will be open for public use beginning Friday, July 25. 

The trail, which can be accessed at the Island Pioneer Trail Trailhead, is a loop through a portion of the 240-acre park. The equestrian trail follows along the Island Pioneer Trail, which is paved, with the remaining portion of the loop being a natural trail.

Kings Park is located at 995 Chase Hammock Rd., Merritt Island FL 32953. Parking for the equestrian trail is located at the Island Pioneer Trail Trailhead, at the intersection of the Island Pioneer Trail and Hall Road, Merritt Island. The park is open from dawn until dusk.
