BREVARD COUNTY, FL —Free Family-Friendly Education Event on June 14 from 9 am - 12 pm, in the Brevard Discovery Garden (BDG) located at 3695 Lake Dr. in Cocoa.
Come join the fun and experience the magic of butterflies at the Butterfly Celebration hosted by the Brevard County Master Gardeners!
The celebration will kick off with a presentation at 9:30 AM by Sally Scalera, Urban Horticulture Agent with UF/IFAS Brevard County Extension. She’ll share expert insights on butterflies, their life cycles, and the host and nectar plants they depend on.
Visitors will also enjoy:

Fun, hands-on activities for both children and adults

A chance to ask questions and chat with our knowledgeable Brevard County Master Gardeners

Tour of the Gardens

And a chance to win a potted butterfly host plant in a photo contest!
Before you go home, stop by the BDG nursery, which will be open from 10:30 to noon. You'll find several varieties of Florida-friendly and Native pollinator plants available for your home garden.
