Parks & Recreation Department Seeks Food Truck Concessionaire for Lori Wilson Park



COCOA BEACH, FL. -- Brevard County Parks and Recreation – Central Area Operations is seeking a vendor to operate a mobile food concession at Lori Wilson Park, located at 1500 N. Atlantic Avenue, Cocoa Beach, FL 32931. The park is open to the public daily from dawn to dusk. Bidders may propose their preferred days and hours of operation, as well as whether or not they intend to vacate the park each night.

Scope of Services:

  • Concession service must be provided from a completely self-contained and fully licensed mobile food truck or trailer. Water, electric, and sewer connections are not available at the site.
  • Vendors are expected to maintain cleanliness in and around their concession area, including trash disposal.
  • All operational logistics (Days/hours of operation, setup, removal, presence overnight, etc.) should be clearly outlined in the bidder’s proposal. 

Food Offerings:

  • Vendors may offer prepackaged or made-to-order food and beverages appropriate for public park settings. Items such as chewing gum, sunflower seeds, and products in glass containers are not permitted.  

Financial Arrangement:

  • A flat monthly fee will be paid to Brevard County Parks and Recreation – Central Area.
  • Vendors should submit a proposed monthly fee for consideration.

Proposal Requirements: Interested Vendors will need to submit the following:

  • A business summary with operational details.
  • Proposed menu and pricing.
  • Proposed operating schedule and any plans regarding overnight presence.
  • Photos of your truck/trailer.
  • Copies of:
    • State and County business licenses
    • Health department permit
    • Insurance certificate and Endorsement pages both naming Brevard County
    • Florida Driver’s License
    • Florida DR-11 and DR-13 forms
  • Acknowledgment that all employees/volunteers will undergo High Level (Level 1) background checks per Brevard County AO-5, with results submitted to Central Area Operations. 

Selection Will Be Based On:

  • Menu variety, pricing, and proposed monthly fee
  • Operating plan, schedule flexibility, and ability to meet public demand
  • Proper licensing, insurance, and required documentation

 

All proposals to be submitted in person to the Central Area Parks Operations Office, 840 Forrest Avenue, Cocoa, FL 32922, no later than 4:00 p.m. on Friday, June 6, 2025.
