PALM BAY, FL. -- In an effort to address the ongoing threat posed by opioids such as heroin and fentanyl, the Brevard County Housing and Human Services department in partnership with the City of Palm Bay invites residents to come to a town hall to share your thoughts and experiences.
Opioid overdoses and deaths have hit Brevard hard in recent years and are still affecting communities throughout our county. Whether you’ve struggled personally, know an individual or family who’s been affected by opioid use, or are concerned about the impacts of opioids and drugs in your community, your experiences and opinions will help us find ways to effectively combat the many and tragic impacts of these powerful drugs.
Join us for a town hall event on Thursday, January 30, 2025, from 6-8 PM at Palm Bay Council Chambers located at 120 Malabar Road SE Palm Bay, FL 32907.
Town hall attendees and those unable to attend the event are encouraged to take an 11-question
Opioid Epidemic Awareness Survey. Survey results will help the County and our partners develop comprehensive opioid misuse prevention and response plans aimed at supporting healthier communities.
