Brevard County Fire Rescue Accepting Applications for Firefighter Sponsorship Program

BREVARD COUNTY, FL. -- Brevard County Fire Rescue (BCFR) is accepting applications for the sponsorship program through March 24.

This program provides funding for aspiring firefighters to attend Eastern Florida State College’s Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) program and take part in the Fire Training Academy. Upon completion of training, recipients enter employment with BCFR as Firefighter/EMTs.

Since the program’s inception in 2021, Brevard County Fire Rescue has hired nine sponsorship recipients and currently has an additional 17 recipients enrolled in training.
