BREVARD COUNTY, FL. -- A precautionary boil water notice has been issued in the Mims area for residents at the following locations:
If you do not live at one of these addresses, you are not affected by this boil water notice.
The notice was issued as a result of a water main break that occurred near 2500 N. Carpenter Road in Mims.
As a precaution, it is advised that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dished be boiled. A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient. As an alternative, bottled water may be used.
This precautionary boil water notice will remain in effect until the problem has been corrected and a bacteriological survey shows that the water is safe to drink.
