Precautionary Boil Water Notice Issued in Mims Area

BREVARD COUNTY, FL. -- A precautionary boil water notice has been issued in the Mims area for residents at the following locations:

• 4353 to 5425 U.S. Highway 46
• 2495 Bar C Road
• Seasons in the Sun RV Resort
• All of Cambridge Drive
• All of Estrada Lane
• 2498 Turpentine Road
• All of Tuscany Drive and Napoli Way
• All of Lee Road
• All of Tammy Drive and Tommy Court
• All of Rowland Court
• All of Bradford Court
• All of the Fawn Lake subdivision.

If you do not live at one of these addresses, you are not affected by this boil water notice.

The notice was issued as a result of a water main break that occurred near 2500 N. Carpenter Road in Mims.

As a precaution, it is advised that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dished be boiled. A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient. As an alternative, bottled water may be used.

This precautionary boil water notice will remain in effect until the problem has been corrected and a bacteriological survey shows that the water is safe to drink.
